Activities of the Department of Bengali (U.G) during the Academic session 2023-January to June
For students’ betterment, department has taken various measures:
i) Parents’-Teachers’ Meeting- held in every odd &even semester.

c) Educational performance/development
d) Anything related to students’ welfare.
ii) Tutorial Classes for the betterment of students are conducted regularly—
2017 : 5 classes (in every week)
2018 : 5 classes (in every week) +18 Classes (in 1st Semester)
2019 : (January to June)12 classes (in 2nd semester)
2019 : (July to December)19 classes (in 1st &3rd semester)
2022 : (July to December) 4 classes (in every week)
iii) Regular evaluation of students’ through class tests. Here is an example:
iv) Syllabus oriented assignments are arranged by the teachers:

V) Besides Central Library Department introduced a Seminar Library in the year 2007.

IX) Publication of Departmental Magazine is another great achievement of the teachers. The list of Magazines are-

Besides these the teachers encourage students in different types of co-curricular & extra- curricular activities for their total developments.Such as:
Publication of Wall Magazine - arranged by students in different occasion 2017, 2018,2019 & 2022.
Students and teachers of Bengali Department are associated with N.S.S. Programme from the very beginning and they took part in various social activities.
1)Participated in Health-check up camp.
2)Participated in Blood group identification camp.
3)survey of slum area and 0rganized ‘Drawing competition’ of slum children.
4)Postering and campaigning of various awareness programmes.
5)Visit to Blind School & Mother House and distributed clothes among the inmates.
6)Maintained cleanliness of College campus.
7)Took part in N.S.S Annual Camp in every year.
The students of Bengali Department also join various programmes conducted by University of Calcutta. They received the following awards:

C) Students took part in various departmental Programmes such as ‘Teachers Day’ celebration, celebration of ‘Matribhasha Dibas’ Departmental Get Together’, ‘Farewell Programme’ of ex-students ‘etc.
D) Students took part in various cultural Programmes such as ‘Rabindra Jayanti’,’Annual College Social’,Basanto Utsava’,’Fiftieth anniversary of the college’(2012) etc.
E) Students participated in college sports in every year and many of them won the prize. Students’ active participation as volunteer in North Kolkata District Sports, organaized by Rammohan College.
Through these programmes the teachers of Bengali Department try to give more emphasis and special attention to fulfill the students’ mental,social & cultural growth.Financial helps are also done by the teachers if needed.

Sneha Chatterjee :Completed diploma course in art & craft. Now involved with Montessori Training.

Besides those many students are involved with M.A. Course & B.ED Course, taking preparation for NET Exam, passed TET Exam, W.B.C.S Exam .
